My whine for the day

Well since this is a whine post I am going to whine cause I am really mad right now at the weather [img]mad.gif[/img] For Frig sakes it is APRIL and we are getting MORE snow!!! I mean come on it is spring already!!! I can't even go outside cause it is blowing snow >< Argh...when is this stupid weather going to end. Were suppose to get 15cm of snow by tomorrow morring >___< I want the sun and the warm weather to come....but it doesn't look like that though. Anyways that is my whine of the day hope you all are having a better weather then me.

Yeah, I really envy the concept of worker welfare that exists in Europe too. In England people usually get a whole month of vacation time in the summer, during July or August, I think -- here, at the last place I worked for, our sick time was the same as our vacation time, so if you got sick you didn't have a vacation. So I went from 1997 to 2001 without having more of a vacation than an occasional three-day weekend. So I was more than ready to get laid off for several months by the end of it!

At the University it's better in that you get separate vacation time and sick time, and if you don't use them you can save them for the next year -- but it's subject to manager approval when you go for an extended vacation, and we're so short-handed that there's no way they'd be able to let me go for a whole month. But I still wish I could get back to Europe sometime, and I want to go to Japan, and it takes me a week to get over jet lag so I'd be kind of silly to try to take a one-week vacation to another continent... ^^;;;

so has anybody else got something they want to whine about? let's just make this the official whine thread... ^__^

Like all the others, I sure hope your finger heals soon! I sprained the last three fingers of my right hand a few years back, and it was a pain. I can imagine that haven't a broken one must be 10 x that. O__o And don't worry. Your typos are less than most of us here with our nice healthy fingers. ^^**

On a semi-related but pretty much unrelated note, has anyone here ever tried typing with two inch fake fingernails? I got them over the summer. Real pretty, but you can't do anything with them. It took me 10 minutes to zip my pants up. XD And then when I tried to remove them, they wouldn't come off. So I had to chip them off piece by piece. Ahhh...the good times...

Whine thread? *bounce bounce* Yes, I've always wanted a whine thread. It's just so fun hanging around Obsession's whine corner. ^^ How about I whine about...

This damn Hong Kong pneumonia thing! I'm bored stiff! I can't leave the house because there's a chance I might catch it, and I don't think I can spend another two weeks at home. Gahhhhh...half of my friends have already left the country. I don't think I've ever wasted this much time in my entire life.
Ahhh well, at least I have all the time I'll ever need for scanlations.

Even though it's a pretty pathetic whine in comparison, I *still* want out of this @#$%%$# finger splint though... I keep bumping my finger on *everything*, since I can't get it out of the road anymore! And has anybody ever tried to run a sewing machine with a finger in a splint? It SO doesn't work...

Sorry, it was a diy repair job on my self. As in, attempting to stitch it up lefthanded. (I've got a really messy scar now). My mum used to be a nurse and with my track record we tend to keep a pretty well stocked first aid kit. I have no idea what I was doing with a scalpel ?_?;;
Oh and yes, my foot does actually work okay most of the time now. Bwahahahahah. I'm indestructable! Ahem.

Gak...I suddenly feel ashamed to call myself a clutz now, although I just broke a bowl into about a hundred different pieces, when apparently it should have only been big enough to break into 70...hmm...

oo..i thought i was bad. Im prone to falling down stairs, not so much anymore cuz when i walk up and down stairs i look very very very carefully at the stair, and make sure my foot comes in contact with it! Ive fallen to many times! It all started when I was talking with a couple friends, and we were saying what we were most afraid of. So i said, im not really afraid of anything (except the obvios stuff like getting kidnapped), but i did say that i would be most afraid of doing something really embarresing in front of alot of ppl. Not a week later did I fall down the 3 little stairs. Not only did I fall in the most drammatic way but I of course had to fling my bag so that all my stuff, papers and all fell out. This was in front of basically the whole school cuz everyone was getting on their buses and such.

This of course isnt as bad some ppls injuries, but I was mortified. Except now, i dont get embarressed anymore, cuz nothing is worse for me than that.

waaaa ... u win the clumsyness award ... altho there is a special brand of clumsyness that comes from being over 6 ft tall. but that more involves injuring other people rather then urself (like when you step on them)

ive never broken a finger but being a piano player plus typing alot i can apreciate how much that sucks ... get better soon!

i'd like to join the weather REALLY SUCKS whine ... it was 70 DEGREES 5 days ago ... WHY IS IT SNOWING?!??!?!?! WAAAAA!!!! plus every school w/in 50 miles of me was delayed today xcept mine ... what is w/ that? <glares at administration>

That is the same with me when we get a snow storm we got to go to school but yet the next town(which is 3 hours away) doesn't go and they don't even get as much as us!
Well atleast it is getting warm I mean we will never get that hot weather you guys have but still I can't complain cause it is melting the snow ^^
